The Head Teacher and Governors of Barton and Ravensworth Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher.  Primarily we are looking for a mixed age year 2/3/4 teacher for our wonderful school for 0.8FTE with the possibility of 1.0FTE. NQT and experienced applicants can apply.

A clear understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to plan, teach and assess a mixed aged class is essential. Relevant experience in primary education is essential. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to lead curriculum subjects across the school and develop their leadership skills. We are looking for a candidate who is:

The role will involve:

  • Working under the direction of the EYFS Lead in assisting in and contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the learning process for the child
  • Working alongside the Finance and Admin team regarding funding, pre-school places and timetabling.
  • Alongside the EYFS Lead, planning and delivering interventions and teaching activities with clear objectives and appropriate learning outcomes
  • Establishing rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with staff, governors, pupils, their families and guardians, and other agencies/professionals and communicating effectively with them
  • Being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils in line with policy and legislation, raising concerns as appropriate
