Inclusion at Dales Academies Trust

Together, we create a culture where everyone feels valued and belongs. As a Church Trust, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do; it is embedded in our vision, our practice, and our relationships. It is more than a principle—it is a lived experience that creates a genuine sense of belonging for every individual in our community.

We believe that every person, regardless of ability, background, culture, gender, sexuality, faith or no faith, deserves to feel accepted, nurtured, and valued. We strive to ensure that every pupil, member of staff, and family feels part of a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where they can learn, thrive and achieve excellence.

Key Principles

Removing Barriers: We work proactively to eliminate obstacles so that all can access opportunities and experience a true sense of belonging.

Celebrating Diversity: We recognise that uniqueness is a strength that drives creativity, empathy, and excellence.

High Expectations for All: Every individual should thrive and achieve their full potential, supported by resilience and ambition.

Partnerships Beyond School: Inclusion reaches beyond our schools to engage families and communities in collaboration and shared success.

Inclusion at Cornerstone Schools

At Cornerstone Schools we pride ourselves on our inclusive practice. All children are welcomed, nurtured, celebrated and supported to achieve. With a strong focus on adaptive teaching over the past year, staff have become highly skilled at making those necessary adaptations for children which allows them to access learning.  Our small schools and high staff to child ratios means that we can offer support to children who may find larger and busier environments overwhelming.
