Most children join us in our Reception Class in the academic year in which they turn five.
Dales Academies Trust serves as the admission authority for the academy, overseeing the determination of its admission arrangements. The Trust has determined that all admissions will be coordinated through the Local Authority’s admission system.
Therefore, applications for places at any Cornerstone CofE Primary Schools must comply with the statutory Admission Code and be submitted using the Common Application Form provided and managed by the Local Authority on behalf of the school.
The Authority has established coordinated admission schemes as required by law for the upcoming academic year. This process involves parents completing the Common Application Form to express their preferences, while the Authority liaises with schools and other local authorities on their behalf.
The Local Authority will notify parents of the outcome of their application, including reasons for any refusals and information on the appeals process if a place at their preferred schools is denied.
On the national offer day, the Local Authority will communicate the results of individual applications to parents on our behalf.
