All Saints Celebration Evening 2018creative34
This year’s Celebration Evening held on Monday 16th July celebrated not only the successes of our students’ achievements and efforts over the past year, but also marked the retirement of our Headteacher Mr Kevin Mann. Kevin is the founding Headteacher, who built the academy up from the start. After 13 years of dedicated service to All Saints Academy he has chosen to retire leaving behind an academy which has been awarded Outstanding status by Ofsted and SIAMs the Church Schools inspectorate. The academy is in the top 10% of all state secondary schools nationally and Ingleby Barwick have a school they are rightly proud of. Kevin Mann leaves at a time of expansion for the academy and he feels it is right for a new Headteacher to take All Saints on the next part of its journey. The Bishop of Whitby, Governors, staff and students made it an evening for Kevin to remember. And although it was an emotional evening it was made extra special by speeches from both the Bishop of Whitby, Governors and past Head Boys and Girls, all acknowledging Kevin’s kindness, vision and leadership.
A new award was presented this year in memory of a student who passed away in June this year. This award was presented to four students who have overcome significant adversity in their lives.
As always the evening was wonderful and we would like to say again a huge congratulations to all of the award winners but also to all of our students and staff who work hard each and every day to make our school the fantastic place it is!
